Augmented Reality on Geographic Information
Note: Arogi is operating as small as possible temporarily while Alan completes his Ph.D. We continue to maintain existing libraries and databases. The enj project is not affected.
Arogi is a boutique geographic consultancy in Santa Barbara, California. We create digital maps, design spatial system data models, and develop geographic decision products. Our work in augmented reality has evolved to creating in-field products for mobile devices like the iPhone and T-Mobile G1. We are also called for more unusual tasks -- like to enumerate perfect film shoot locations within exact aesthetic and cost constraints or to provide geological expertise for the physics engine of a video game.
Online Mapping and Open Source Tools
We build on reliable, open source spatial tools, like Postgres/PostGIS, Geoserver, and OpenLayers. Arogi specializes in storage, analysis, and visualization of dynamic data.
ENJ Community
Much of the group's recent energy has been on the development of a community to bridge the spatial cultures of academia and private industry. We believe that strengthening communication between these groups will lead to positive, world changing maps and ideas.This non-profit endeavor is called ENJ (Edge Node Junction).
